Coal Not Dole Socks are inspired by the legendary motto of striking miners during the industrial action of 1984/85.We’re very very proud of these socks, which take inspiration from the stickers and badges of the Miners
We are donating the profit from these socks to the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign (OT&JC), who approached us to make them. You can read about their campaign here, but in summary, miners were assaulted and then criminalised by the Police during their picket of the Orgreave coking plant. As the OT&JC state “The way in which the police abused their power at Orgreave, lied about it and got away with it, fostered the culture of impunity which allowed the cover up after Hillsborough to take place.Had the police lies after Orgreave been properly and publicly addressed, the Hillsborough cover up may never have been allowed to happen.”
Each pair of Socks comes with stickers as standard.

The socks are half hose, coming to the mid calf and are available in TWO SIZES:
Small – UK 4 to 7
Large – UK 8 to 11
