The Suffragette Socks are released on Monday 29 June at 7pm on www.sockcouncil.com. The socks are available in two sizes:
4 to 7 – for men and women with smaller feet
8 to 11 – for women and men with bigger feet!
The socks are inspired by, and a tribute to, the Suffragette Movement and came about from conversations on twitter about the movement, a visit to the Clarks shoe factory in Somerset, and a chat with the Clarks archivist about the families interests in the suffrage movement. The colours of the socks are based on the colours of the suffragette movement, white, purple and green.
